Opps! I almost forgot!

WOW, I cant believe that I almost forgot to write about the herbs and flowers that I am going to grow this year too! (I must have been overwhelmed by all the veggies!) I'm only going to grow a few kinds of flowers because I want to dedicate most of my time to Veggies and eatables, and it looks as if there are already quite a few perennial flowers throughout the yard. Again, all info and pictures will be straight from the seed company's Website.

The flowers that I have purchased are:

1. Rave of the wave Petunias!
Still the best seed-raised, trailing petunias on the market! Waves require no pinching or pruning to have season long bloom, although some pinching will produce bushier baskets. Plants get only 4-6" tall but spread 3-4 feet. Colourful 2-3" blooms absolutely smother these spreading plants. Excellent grown as a groundcover, in hanging baskets, pots or window boxes. Start Petunia seed inside 8 weeks before last frost date. Pelleted seed. Approximately 10 seeds/package.

Misty Lilac Wave:

Purple Wave:

2. Giganteus Sunflowers!
If you like to grow giants, then this sunflower is for you. A single flowered giant type that produces heads 8-10 inches across and plants that stand 10-12 feet in height. Extra strong stalks can withstand high winds and adverse weather. Dried heads make excellent bird feeders. Approximately 30 seeds/package.

I'm super excited about the flowers that I chose, the petunias will fill hanging baskets that I found in the greenhouse, as well as some built in flower pots around the garden. The sunflowers will go into a garden bed along the front of our property, its just a row that goes along the road! I think it will be a nice touch for the people driving by! The herbs that I chose are as follows:

The most widely known and often used basil. Great in tomato, egg and cheese dishes. Also used in sauces, soups and stews. Height 1-2 feet. Approximately 785 seeds/package.
